Dear Sim,
for some reason I'm unable to log in at the site you requested, so maby you can copy and paste my comment.
I visited NT for a consultation, I picked him in the first place because of his resume, but when I left the building I still didn't know (after I had asked it twice) what he planned to do with my nose. He told me he would remove some cartilage and put it back at another place, and I wondered why, because my nose is so big, I thought he was only to remove something! He also told me I have quite a difficult nose…. and he said I was lucky that I came to him for this reason.
When I asked if it was possible to speak to him and the anesthesist before surgery (sorry, I don't know the right word), he seemed not to be pleased with my questions,
Because of this forum I visited another surgeon, also a dutchman, who works in Belgium (Antwerp), this was a really other way of consultation. He was personnal, I felt comfortable, I felt understood. He took his time, answered all my questions patiently, and reassured me I don't have a difficult nose at all, that I wouldn't have 6 months swelling (which Vann on this forum confirmed, who had already had her surgery by him), and he invited me to come and see him again if I wouldnt be sure. There are topics on this forum, from people who had surgery by NT (I have seen some pictuers), and there are more: he doesnt do what he promises, he opens the nose and will see then what he think is beautiful. And like people say on this forum: what he think is beautiful is not what we “problem-noses” think is beautiful at all.
You can contact the surgeon who I have visited (he is a mouth-jaw-face surgeon, gender chance expert) in the AZ Monica Eeuwfeestkliniek in Belgium, Antwerp (Anvers).
Good luck (good look?)
Laila
